INSTALLING PLUGIN FILTERS IN PSP
| Installing PSP filters can indeed be a bit tricky, therefore it is very advisable, that you read this page carefully.. and in its entirety BEFORE trying to install a filter. It is far easier to do it right the first time, than it is to try and fix it later. |

Some filters come with an install or setup program, which will USUALLY find your PLUGINS folder. This folder is located at PROGRAM FILES/PSP/PLUGINS The install program will usually create a new folder inside PLUGINS for the new filter. If it does not, you will have to create this folder yourself. Just follow the instructions for your filter in the table below. When using these install programs, you really need to pay attention when the program tells you what folder it will install the filter into, because many filters are designed for photoshop and will look for an adobe folder. When installing a filter that has an install program, unzip the files into a temporary folder first..and follow the instructions in the table below. |

FILTERS WITH NO INSTALL PROGRAM Some filters have no installation program. These filters simply need a new folder, under the PLUGINS folder, where you place all of its files. |

There are two DLL files, that you most likely will need.. for many of the filters
to work... these two files should be downloaded and installed in
your WINDOWS/SYSTEM folder. My advice.. is to install them.. period.
Download the following two files, then unzip them into your WINDOWS/SYSTEM folder.

The table below shows many of the popular filters and what you need to do to
install them. ALL of the folder names given in the table below... should be
created under your PROGRAM FILES/PSP/PLUGINS folder... If you do not already
have this folder, then you will need to create it.
